These classes are a symphony of love, interaction, and observation.

Infants and toddlers (up to 4 years old), with the gentle guidance of their first teachers - their parents - partake in rhythmic activities, singing, and listening to live instrument play.

What makes this class different?

Wood Rings

The magic of music education isn't just about teaching children to play notes on an instrument,

but about kindling the flames of their

innate potential,

nurturing their spirits,

and guiding them to harmonize with the world.

Through repetition, immersion, and encouragement,

children absorb music as naturally as they laugh and play.

As notes float in the air, you can see the twinkle in their eyes,

the budding understanding of a language that knows no boundaries.

Environment is the key.

In these classes, the atmosphere is meticulously crafted to be nurturing, encouraging, and filled with positive reinforcement.

Let's be clear, this is not just about music.

Tiny Tunes classes give a holistic education,

developing skills that benefit children throughout their lives:

discipline, patience, teamwork, and an appreciation for beauty.

These classes lay a foundation that is not just about becoming musicians but about becoming better human beings, sensitive to the world and its myriad wonders.

It was clear to me from an early age that I was destined to be a teacher. One of my favorite and youngest childhood memories is standing at my chalkboard easel in my moms high-heels, teaching my audience of stuffed animals how to play "Twinkle-Twinkle."

I had the privilege of having a string of dedicated and passionate music teachers growing up, and I feel a certain due-diligence to pass on that legacy to my community - and more importantly:

the younger generation.

My philosophy is to first INSPIRE the learner, then INSPIRE them some more! Music is one of the most stimulating, engaging, and universal activities - and it's supposed to be fun.

If a student has fun, they will choose to "show up." If they show up eager, they will be in a prime position to learn. If this happens most of the time, they are bound to form a healthy, life-long relationship with music (and hopefully an instrument!).

Education

Bachelors Degree

Music Education

University of Wisconsin - Whitewater

My college coursework was between rigid and exploratory. I was the concertmaster of our symphonies for my latter three years, and also played first violin in the Chancellors Quartet for a sizeable scholarship for two years. My heart and brain really began to feel invigorated after completing a minor in philosophy; I try to foster that love for learning and encourage questions and healthy debate in lessons.

Cambio Yoga

I discovered yoga in college and it has been a significant part of my life since. I am constantly implementing the anatomical knowledge into my teaching and personal playing, and my private lessons often inspire themes for my yoga classes. It is a belief of mine that musicians should treat their bodies the way professional athletes do - our bodies are our instrument first and foremost.
